Ingredients:

1 tbsp,  Olive oil

450 g,  Beef Stewing steak

2  Garlic, Minced

1 tsp,  Chopped fresh ginger

1  fresh green chilli, diced

1 tbsp,  curry powder

400 g,  Chopped tomatoes

1  Onion, sliced and quartered

250 ml,  Beef stock

0.25 tsp,  salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

  1. In a frying pan, heat the olive oil and add beef. Saute the beef over medium heat until it turns brown on all sides. Remove the beef from pan, reserving juices, and top it with salt and pepper.
  2. Sauté the garlic, ginger and chilli in the pan for 2 minutes, until tender, and season with curry powder. Mix in the chopped tomatoes and cook on a low flame until it turns soft.
  3. Place the onion in the bottom of a slow cooker, and layer with the browned beef. Scoop the pan mixture into the slow cooker, and mix in the beef stock.
  4. Cover, and cook for about 6 to 8 hours on Low.
