Apple Cake

Yeild:

servings 

Ingredients:

250 g,  flour

150 g,  sugar

1 tbsp,  baking soda

0.50 tbsp,  salt

3  eggs, beaten

100 ml,  vegetable oil

3 tbsp,  vanilla

350 g,  finely chopped apples

150 ml,  apple juice

100 g,  chopped walnuts

75 g,  brown sugar

50 ml,  butter

35 ml,  whipping cream

Preparation:

  1. In a large bowl mix in the flour, sugar, soda and salt. Make a well in the center and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl stir in apple juice, eggs, oil, and vanilla. Also stir in cut apples and nuts.
  3. Add the egg mixture into dry ingredients and make it moistened.
  4. Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  5. Spread the batter in the baking pan and bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan combine the brown sugar, butter and cream.
  7. Cook and stir till bubbly and all of the sugar is dissolved. Set it aside to cool slightly.
  8. Drizzle warm sauce over the cake, when it has cooled for 5 minutes, so it can seep into the cake, keeping it moist.
