Dark Chocolate Cake

Yeild:

Ingredients:

200 g,  sugar

175 g,  flour

75 g,  baking cocoa (dark cocoa preferably)

1.50 tbsp,  baking powder

1.50 tbsp,  baking soda

1 tbsp,  salt

2  eggs

150 ml,  milk

50 g,  vegetable oil

2 tbsp,  vanilla extract

100 ml,  boiling water

Preparation:

  1. In a large mixer bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients.
  2. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in boiling water by hand to make the batter thin. This step is optional, be careful to use less than a cup water if you opt this step.
  4. Now, pre-heat oven to 350°F.
  5. Grease and flour two 9 inches round baking pans.
  6. Pour the batter into prepared pan.
  7. Bake 30 to 35 minutes for round 9-inch pans, 35 to 40 minutes for rectangular pan. You can also identify this by inserting a wooden pick in the center of the batter. The pick will come out clean if the cake is ready. Don’t try this with 8-inch pans because the batter will overflow.).
  8. Cool the cake for 10 minutes; remove from pan to wire racks.
