Yellow Cake

4 servings




225 g,  flour

150 g,  sugar

3 tsp,  baking powder

1 tsp,  salt

50 ml,  shortening

150 ml,  milk

2 tsp,  vanilla

2  eggs


  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 C.
  2. In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients.
  3. Add shortening, milk and vanilla.
  4. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  5. Add eggs and beat for 30 seconds more.
  6. Grease a baking pan of size 13x9cms.
  7. Place the batter in the greased pan and bake it for 35 minutes, or until the wooden pick comes out clean.
