Portuguese Rice Pudding

Originaly Yeild:

4 servings




200 g,  Caster sugar

1400 ml,  Semi skimmed milk

200 g,  White rice -Uncooked

2  Egg- Beaten


  1. Heat a large saucepan, combine sugar and milk on a high flame. When bubbles form at the edges, stir in rice and reduce the heat to medium flame.
  2. Cook 60 minutes, stirring often, until rice is tender, but do not allow boiling.
  3. Remove from heat, add beaten eggs in batches and stir vigorouslyuntil it is mixed in perfect combination. Serve hot.
