Garlic Prawn Pasta

Garlic Prawn Pasta

500 g,  linguine

30 g,  butter

3 tbsp,  white wine

1 tsp,  grated Parmesan cheese

100 g,  garlic, minced

100 g,  small handful chopped fresh parsley

0.50 tsp,  salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

1000 g,  fresh prawns, peeled and deveined


  1. Cook pasta according to the package directions. Drain the cooked pasta and set aside for cooling.
  2. In a frying pan, melt butter over medium low heat; add wine, cheese, garlic, parsley and salt and pepper to taste. Saute the ingredients over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Add prawns and slightly increase the heat from low to medium high. Cook the prawns for about 3 to 4 minutes or until prawns it turns pink. Do not overcook.
  4. Divide pasta into portions and spread sauce and prawns on top;
  5. Garnish with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley, optional step.
