Penne with Broccoli and Bacon

Ingredients:

500 g,  1 pack penne pasta

1.13 lb,  500g fresh broccoli florets

6  rashers bacon, chopped

75 g,  onion, chopped

100 g,  garlic, minced

500 g,  1 jar pasta sauce

2 oz,  50g freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation:

  1. Cook pasta according to the package directions. Add broccoli and cook for 2 more minutes. Drain the cooked pasta, and set aside for cooling.
  2. Place bacon in a large, deep frying pan. Cook over medium high heat until brown. Drain all the liquid and return to frying pan.
  3. Mix the onion and garlic into the frying pan, and cook until onions are tender. Stir in the pasta sauce, and cook until heated through. Toss with the penne and broccoli, and top with Parmesan cheese.
