Apple Pork Chops

Originaly Yeild:

4 servings




2 tbsp,  olive oil

1  small onion, chopped

4  Pork chops

0.50 tsp,  salt

0.50 tsp,  freshly ground black pepper

2  apples- peeled, cored and sliced

2 tbsp,  soft light brown sugar

0.50 tsp,  ground mustard

0.13 tsp,  ground cloves

175 ml,  Hot water


  1. Preheat oven to 190 C / Gas mark 5.
  2. In a large frying pan, heat oil. Add onions and sauté for 1 minute, or until it turns tender. Remove onion and set aside.
  3. Then add pork chops and sauté for few minutes until it turns brown on both sides in oil.
  4. Place pork chops in an 20x30cm (8x12 in) baking dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover with the apples and cooked onion.
  5. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, mustard, cloves and water. Pour over chops. Cover and bake in preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes.
