Spanish Rice

Originaly Yeild:

4 servings




2 tbsp,  oil

2 tbsp,  chopped onion

275 g,  uncooked white rice

475 ml,  chicken stock

225 ml,  shop bought salsa

1 tsp,  salt to taste


  1. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add onion, stir constantly and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  2. Then add rice and stir often until it turns brown.
  3. Now add chicken stock and salsa and stir for 10 minutes.
  4. Season with salt to taste.
  5. Cook the rice and chicken over a low heat for 20 minutes until liquid has been absorbed.
