Ingredients:

1  small onion, peeled

2  cloves

240 ml,  milk

1 tbsp,  cream

50 g,  freshly made fine breadcrumbs

2 tbsp,  butter

0.25 tsp,  salt and white pepper

Preparation:

  1. Stick the cloves into the onion; place in a saucepan and pour over the milk. Bring to the boil, remove the onion and add the breadcrumbs. Heat through gently, adding the cream, butter, salt and pepper just before serving.
