Pork and Corn Chowder

1  Salted pork - 1 package, finely diced into strips

1  Pork bacon - 1 package

2  Diced potatoes - 2 cans

2  Corn - 2 cans

3  Evaporated milk - 3 cans

100 g,  Thin sliced Sweet onion – 1 large size

1 tbsp,  Pepper powder – desired quantity


  1. Heat a large frying pan. Put finely diced salt pork and fry them in the frying pan until it turns crispy. Pour out most of the grease and keep the fried pork aside.
  2. Now add finely diced onion and fry it in the remaining grease and cook it until it turns golden brown.
  3. Transfer the contents into large soup pan and set the pan on medium heat.
  4. Now add the fried salt pork and bacon to the onion.
  5. Then add cans of potatoes, corn, and evaporated milk to the soup, you may use the juices from these cans also which may give good flavor to the soup.
  6. Finally add pepper to the quantity you wish and serve hot.
