Sweetcorn chowder

Ingredients:

1  chopped onion

2 tbsp,  olive oil

418 g,  can creamed sweetcorn

300 g,  can new potatoes

300 ml,  chicken stock

150 ml,  semi-skimmed milk

85 g,  grilled bacon

1 tbsp,  soured cream

2 tbsp,  smoked paprika

Preparation:

  1. In a large pan, heat olive oil and sauté the chopped onions until it turns tender.
  2. Then add can creamed sweetcorn, potatoes, drained and diced, chicken stock, made with stock cubes, and the semi-skimmed milk.
  3. Cover and cook the mixture for 5 minutes on a low flame.
  4. Then add the grilled bacon. Ladle the soup into bowls, add little measure of soured cream to each and sprinkle with smoked paprika to serve.
